As I mentioned in stories, I won’t be hosting any holiday parties this year. Even my personal home parties. After a few years of hosting multiple events while also saying yes to so many opportunities, I was hitting total burnout. 

Those parties are SO much fun, but take months and months of planning. And it’s really hard to be so “on” so often. 

With three major surgeries in my near future and lots of family responsibilities, I’m taking a break for a bit from planning events. Sticking to intimate dinners or accepting other’s invites. I love attending events. But it puts a lot of mental pressure to plan and host them. I know expectations are high. I think I might eventually move to hosting some yoga nights. Something about inner work. That feels more authentic to what is important to me. I’m excited to continue hosting “Boise Content Creators” meet ups. Those are easy for me. We literally just get together and eat and drink. 😂 I’m basically just there. I can do that. 

There have been some messages of disappointment, and I know that these events are a lot of fun to meet and see other local women. If it’s something that’s important to you, I highly recommend hosting an event yourself! If it’s something you want… make it happen! Follow realhousewivesofboise for ideas.
