Zillow Gone Wild, the social media account and HGTV series that scours the world to spotlight unusual homes listed on the Zillow real estate marketplace, posted a great example for its #zgwCastleFridays theme: A white stucco citadel with a tower on almost seven acres in Eugene.

The rural property at 28375 Rainbow Valley Road in Willamette Valley’s wine country is near well-known vintners — Noble Estate Vineyard, Sarver Winery, King Estate, Sweet Cheeks Winery and Iris Vineyards — and for hikers, it’s minutes from the Willow Creek Natural Area.

The price for the castle: $950,000, which is a $50,000 decrease from the $1 million asking price when the property hit the market Oct. 15.
