Fancy lighting and granite countertops are not necessary.

Your home can be filled with the delicious smell of a Thanksgiving turkey just the same.

Cuban arroz y frijoles (white rice and black beans) with a dash of sofrito seasoning tastes exitoso coming from a small kitchen.

You don’t need extravagance to make a meal memorable.

Her hands have been in this small kitchen for over 35 years. Cooking everything from sweet potato to paella.

She pours her soul into every meal she makes.

If you’re lucky, she’ll share her recipes with you. That’s how you know she wants you to stick around.

When you find out how she makes the flan, the carne con papas (Cuban pot roast), or the coquito (Puerto Rican eggnog).

Argentinean empanadas are her specialty, but she also makes a squash soup you’ll crave.

Fancy bowls are not needed for her to make one of the best meals you’ll ever eat.

Two people don’t fit in this kitchen comfortably, but that’s okay.

Mash potatoes don’t require kitchen islands to be made with love.

She never needed ample space to make magic, and neither do you.

Your most memorable meals won't be remembered by how fancy your kitchen is.

Love, gratitude, and laughter don't require a certain size to be shared and treasured."
