HMRC's new IR35 legislation is throwing up a lot of questions. It comes into force for the private sector on 6th April 2020. We are taking a lot of calls and emails on this issue and our best advice is to speak to the client for whom you're doing the work or the agency that's acting as your intermediary.
Briefly though, if you are a sole trader this is not really going to affect you but your client will still have to decide your employment status, which dictates whether you’re an employee, a sole trader, or a ‘worker’.
