The birth of Benjamin Thomas Gobrecht defied both expectation and imagination: his mother, 33-year old Jennifer Gobrecht (delcomrkhjen), was born without a uterus. Thanks to a team of dedicated clinicians and researchers, and one selfless organ donor and her family, Jen was able to carry Ben. Ben, who celebrated his fourth birthday recently, is only the second baby in the U.S. to be born following a deceased donor uterine transplant.
