FREE ICE SKATING IN NYC ⛸️ ❄️ 

You can ice skate for free if you bring your own skates:

1️⃣ Bryant Park: Free admission ice skating all season at bryantparknyc. Book “bringing own skates” admission. Tickets roll out one week in advance. Shoe check is free for all (bags are $5 to check).
2️⃣ Wollman Rink: Free admission via CulturePass with a library card. Book wollmanrinknyc tickets through Culture Pass with a nypl qplnyc bklynlibrary library card for free admission for up to 4. New Culture Pass reservations are released on the first of every month

If you don’t own skates, there are lots of affordable pairs online. I found some pairs in the $30-60 range. Plus, bring very limited items to avoid any bag check fees!

For those who don’t have skates: wollmanrinknyc has a program called WRAP for anyone with IDNYC or NYPL card – $15 for admission, skates and a hot cocoa. WRAP tickets are available in-person at the box office during public skating hours.

- November 28: Free ice skating at manhattanwestnyc Winter Fest 4-8pm
- December 3: Free ice skating at Wollman Rink with 1067litefm
- February 29: Wollman Rink Leap Day - free for all!
- Community Days at Wollman Rink:  January 15 for Teachers, February 19 for Public Sector Employees
