I have made A LOT of French Toast & this one is the best. My husband said it’s the best one I make. I remind him that it’s the Croissant Toast bread from #WholeFoods that makes all the difference. It’s light, flaky & fluffy. Paired with the #BGITJ Oatmilk Brown Sugar Creamer, you can’t go wrong. The key 🔑 here is making the bread feel stale. Before we get into the #DEEtails , make sure you’re following blackgrlsin so you don’t miss anything happening outside of Trader Joe’s.💜

The Deetails:
-Preheat oven to the lowest temperature possible 
-Add croissant toast to baking sheet with rack & place in oven until the bread feels stale
-In a mixing bowl, whisk 3 large eggs
-To that, add 3/4c milk of choice, 3/4 Oatmilk Brown Sugar Creamer, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 2tsp cinnamon, splash of vanilla, ground nutmeg [approx 1 tsp] & a pinch of salt
-Whisk until fully combined 
-Preheat griddle/plancha & add butter
-Briefly dunk bread into milk & egg mix & cook until golden brown on each side 
-Place French Toast back on baking sheet rack & back in the oven for another 5-10 minutes 
-Top with powdered sugar & your favorite syrup.
