✈️🏒X🇵🇭 > The Winnipeg Jets Filipino Heritage Night Logo and Support Graphics > First off thank you to the nhljets True North Sports and Entrainment organization, not only for the opportunity to design this logo but for celebrating the Filipino Community. Like most of you know the Filipino community is one of the largest communities in our province, so this means a lot to us. Working with the Jets design team was such a pleasure. The process was smooth and I really appreciated the respect and trust that they had during the concept development process. Although I was hired as the designer to represent our community, it was important to me that it was a collaborative process, especially knowing that a fellow Filipino designer, Marc Gomez, was part of the Jets organization already. It felt great knowing that he was rolling everything out with his team once the creative left my hands. marcgomez Y’all are killing it! Also snapsonsnapsonsnaps thanks for this opportunity. It’s been great getting to know you. Salamat roncantiveros for the referral and opening the door for me. This is our success. GO JETS GO!

The concept behind this logo and the support graphics is fairly simple. Create something great that the Filipino community would be proud of and something that celebrated and shared our culture with others. The logo is a symbol of the integration of the Filipino community into the Canadian culture which we are a big part of. Using the Philippines flag was a way to automatically connect to the Filipino community and the reference of textiles and patterns was also a way to represent our heritage and roots. At the end of the day this logo needed to share the positive, joyful, strength and proud energy that the Filipino community has contributed to our country. MABUHAY!!!
