Portage and Main Barrier Mural > Thanks so much downtownwpgbiz , stakeholders and people involved for believing in my vision. It was such an honour to have my design chosen for the intersection. I know there are mixed feeling about these structures, but while they are up we might as well look good. Ha. Plus I truly believe you can find potential and blessings in even the darkest corners. Either way while designing this piece I had all of us in mind. Not going to lie it was an intimidating task, but so happy it was well received and the message and concept was heard, felt and appreciated. Looking forward to the completion! 

Also HUGE Shoutout to Jason and crew from everlinecoatingswinnipeg I know y’all are going to kill this piece. It’s been great working with you guys! This mural is yours as much as it is mine. 👊🏾

Everyone has their “barriers” to deal with, myself included being a Filipino Canadian, but I’ve learnt it’s not the barrier that’s the issue, it’s letting it stop you from achieving your goals that’s the only issue. I’m still a work in progress but I’m learning to navigate through it all. 

Anyhow, I hope ya’ll dig it. When creating this piece, I really had the people in our province at heart and also all the young Filipino kids out there including my own. Growing up as a striving Filipino artist, I didn't get to see too many people that look like me have opportunities like this one, so I don’t take it for granted and understand my responsibility to our future leaders. Know that I have you all in mind when I create these pieces. All my work is OURS.
