## Caption

Congratulations #OpticaFellow Olga Kocharovskaya, the Herbert Walther Award recipient for her pioneering contributions to lasing without inversion and electromagnetically induced transparency!

As a field-opening pioneer in lasers, atomic physics and quantum optics, Kocharovskaya developed a new understanding of how energy is transferred in atomic systems, including experiments that initiated the field of gamma-ray quantum optics.
