Huge Congratulations to Junior hanna_hekkanen for being named Coast-to-Coast Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Hanna is a team captain and a double major at UC Santa Cruz in Plant Science and Agroecology maintaining a 3.89 GPA. Hanna dipped under 22:00mins this season for 6K running 21:55 to be the 8th fastest Banana Slug in program history. Hanna placed 3rd at the C2C Conference Championships and earned All-Region Honors placing 34th at the NCAA West Regional Championships. Hanna capped off her season with a 69 place improvement at the NCAA National Championships placing 196th. Go Hanna!
