Thanks to @davidoyelowo for hoping us today in-studio. The actor portrays #BassReeves, a former enslaved man that became one of the first Black U.S Deputy Marshals in the late 1800’s. It is also rumored that Bass Reeves was the inspiration for #TheLoneRanger! David also portrayed #DrMartinLutherKingJr in the 2014 film, #Selma & shared an amazing story of an interaction with Civil Rights leader #JohnLewis on-set as David was in-character as Dr. King.
