Olympian and author Laurie Hernandez shared her speech ‘From Dreamer to Champion’ as part of CMU’s Speaker Series, Sunday, Nov. 19 in Plachta Auditorium. Hernandez met with VIP guests before the event for a pre-show Q&A and meet and greet. In her speech, Hernandez spoke about dealing with injuries, burnout, imposter syndrome, an ‘anxiety goblin’ named Steve, and life after sports. Hernandez emphasized the importance to rest, saying we all wear different hats, remember to take them off.
