Meet Faculty Award finalist, Margo Evilsizor! 👋🏽 Graduating from the #OxbridgeHonorsProgram as an Institutions and Policy major, and successfully defending an international relations honors thesis in her second major, Margo can now add #FulbrightScholar to her accolades. She’ll move to Mexico City for the prestigious #FulbrightBinationalInternshipProgram. Her intensive, independent study in Spanish paid off, having to complete her Fulbright interviews in Spanish. 🏆

For three years, she has formally studied Arabic at Jewell, in Amman, Jordan, and during her year at University of Oxford, Mansfield College, where she took international relations courses. 📚

Much of her undergraduate experience and honors project was personalized around her passion for empowering women in countries devastated by civil war. Through several grants, she researched violence against women in Mexico City; completed a comparative analysis of women in Nepal, Rwanda and Colombia; and conducted interviews in Jordan and Syria. Her long-term plan is to help provide women more opportunities, either by impacting public policy with a law degree or by starting a business to employ women or provide them microfinancing. 
Raised in Phoenix and moving to Belton, Missouri, in high school, she graduated from #TheDanielAcademyKC. At Jewell, she was involved in Christian Student Ministries, Handbell Choir, Mortar Board and Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, serving as president. ❤️🖤 #ClassOf2020 #JewellAcheives
