BSAH - Breakfast Sliders At Home

Ingredients:
4 Kings Hawaiian Rolls
Cream Cheese
Salt
Pepper
Fresh Dill
Fresh Chives
1/2 Lemon
3 Eggs
3 Strips of Bacon
1/2 Avocado
Butter

Recipe:

Preheat your oven to 400F

I start with the Herb “Aioli” - this isn’t really an Aioli because I use cream cheese. You can use Mayo like the real version but I kinda prefer it like this. I don’t really use measurements for this part - just taking a scoop of cream cheese (about as much as I’d put on half a bagel), a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, half a lemon, a big pinch of fresh dill and a big pinch of fresh chives. Mix all together and set to the side.

Now lay out at least 3 strips of bacon onto a sheet tray, and place in the oven at 400 for about 15 minutes or your desired crispness. The bacon on the real version is pretty crispy and I like mine that way as well.

At this point I take the avocado, cut in half and make slices so it’s easy for assembly.

Next take out your Kings Hawaiian Rolls, and pick out a block of four. Place these on a sheet tray. Take 2 knobs of butter and start to melt in a non-stick pan over low heat. Once melted, brush some of the butter onto the rolls, and then place the rolls into the oven with the bacon. These only need about 5 minutes.

With the remaining butter in that non stick pan, crack 3 eggs and scramble. I like a soft scramble, similar to the real version as well.

Once the eggs are done, the bacon and buns should be close as well. Remove the bacon, remove the buns and slice in half to start assembly. Start with the herb aioli, then the bacon, avocado, and finally eggs. The real version also includes American cheese - I think the cream cheese provides it with a creamy enough texture that it doesn’t need it, but you can add that here if you like. The real version also includes a hot sauce which you can also add here.

Cut the 4 buns into individual pieces, and enjoy! #recipe #losangeles #communitygoods #breakfast #breakfastsliders
