Thousands of teddy bears and other stuffed animals hit the ice Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the 24th annual Portland Winterhawks Teddy Bear Toss. 

The fuzzy friends fly through the air to the ice after the Winterhawks' first goal of the game and are then collected and donated as holiday gifts to greater Portland-area charities and hospitals.
