I’ve never lived in a place where when I get on the plane to leave I feel sad to go.
Let me explain.
I left LA to spend the week in Munich, Germany to see a doctor (my second time here) and I got the chance to do some reflecting on the plane.

I grew up in St. Louis, MO- a great place to grow up, no doubt. But I was always hungry to see more of the world. I traveled for modeling gigs all throughout high school and loved the adventure of seeing new places.
I went to college at Florida State. If I could go back and make the decision again, I wouldn’t do a single thing differently. I loved my time in Tallahassee, but it was all about the team and my community there. When it was time to leave I didn’t feel sad to go, but I was grateful for my time there.
In 2015 I signed my first pro contract and moved to Portland, OR. Again, I picked the place because of the opportunity to be a part of a growing team, not because I thrive in dark and rainy places 🌧️ Again, I enjoyed my time there and made lasting friendships, but I wouldn’t say I was sad to leave.
In 2021 i signed with lululemon and Kevin and I finally got the chance to do WHAT we love in a PLACE of our choosing. The world was our oyster. Where should we go??
We toyed with a few other options, but honestly it was always gonna be Los Angeles.
There’s something about this place that just feels so good. Our neighborhood in Venice feels like home. I run along the beach path and ride my bike in the mountains overlooking the ocean.
I try not to take all this for granted and remind myself daily how lucky I am to live in such a magical place that makes me feel so alive.

Thank you adammoran for taking these 🙌🏼 golden hour photos of me doing what I love in the place that I love the most. I’ll treasure them.
