## Caption

Some of you may not know that sprinters have to set their own blocks before every race. They measure the distance to their starting lines, the distance between their two feet, the angles of the blocks and which foot is forward. Some use measuring tape , tape measures and or their own feet to measure. I’ve always thought that this quiet moment was cool, kinda like the far away rumbling of thunder before the lightning strikes. ( I’ve tried a few block starts and it was scary. I felt like I was going to fall flat on my face. The starting position was awkward. I need more practice. 😄)
