Show us the money! That’s right, today’s episode of “The GIST of It” is all about two major money moves. Co-hosts Ellen Hyslop and Steph Rotz begin in baseball, where two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani just inked the largest contract in team sports history, joining the LA Dodgers on a $700M, 10-year deal. Ohtani is a once in a lifetime player, and now he has an unprecedented contract to match it. 💰⚾ ⁣
•⁣
Then for part two, El and Steph kick it over to the pitch with news that the U.S. and Mexico submitted a joint bid to host the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, potentially making North America the soccer destination this decade. ⚽⁣
