The Department of Communication looks forward to celebrating our Fall 2023 graduates tomorrow! 🎓

We are honored to announce that Hailey Hawkins is the student speaker for the department ceremony. Hailey is excited to represent her 2023 class and congratulate her fellow classmates on all that they have accomplished together!

Hailey did not have a traditional college journey; she transferred to NC State and quickly made it her home. Today, she remains proud that she chose to join the Wolfpack. She notes, “NC State has provided me with a foundation for growth and success, and I can’t wait to see
what’s next!” 🐺

During her time at State, Hailey has been active in (LPH) Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society, (PRSSA) Public Relations Student Society of America, (NSLS) the National Society of
Leadership and Success, and (OCC) Operation Christmas Child. She has also built meaningful relationships with many of her professors and is glad to have made an impact regardless how small.

Hailey is a proud North Carolinian who is thrilled to begin her professional career in the capital city. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Public Relations focus), she knows that the opportunities are limitless! She has set her sights on pursuing a career in corporate America
where she hopes to explore public relations, human resources and sales.

Hailey likes to say, “Be mindful of your attitude as what you speak, you become. Life gives and takes, but happiness is a choice. Everyone is on their own timeline, choose to invest in the present.”

Congratulations Hailey and all of our 2023 graduates! 🎓
