For the last neighbourhood tour of the year, I'm taking you around my own community: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻! 

In 1801, a prominent religious and political leader named David Willson led a group of families from Pennsylvania to Ontario. Their destination was East Gwillimbury, where they established a prosperous farming community and credit union co-op named Hope. When the post office in the area opened in 1841, the town changed its name from Hope to Sharon and continued to thrive as an epicentre for commerce and community. 📬

This subdivision is located just west of Highway 404 and north of York Regional Road 19 and offers dozens of parks, recreation, and urban amenities. Leslie Street, the thoroughfare of Sharon, is lined with old farms, heritage homes and buildings, and shopping plazas.

The median listing price for homes in Sharon is $1,248,500, with a sold price of $1,336,440. This district consists of detached and semi-detached homes, which sell in approximately 22 median days while on the market. While there are a lot of newly built homes in the area, there are also some amazing mature neighbourhoods such as Sharon Hills.
