The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement Friday that its agents shot and killed three Israeli hostages after mistaking them “as a threat.” The hostages waved a white flag and screamed out in Hebrew to show they did not pose a threat. NewsNation host Dan Abrams says it makes some people question the IDF’s assurances they are doing everything possible to avoid civilian deaths. Tal Heinrich, spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, said the hostage deaths were the “worst scenario that Israelis could have imagined.”
