🗣️ Fun and enjoyment are the fundamental and most important factors for kids just starting out playing football / soccer ⚽️

Equally , praise and encouragement are just as important to develop confidence , assuredness and competence in young players 

To keep players having a lifelong love for the game depends on many factors - good quality coaching being one 

Here at LevelUpSoccerCoaching we have many principles and values . One of our core values is to try and help our young players develop by providing a positive , expressive and creative environment to which they can excel and fulfill their potential 💯

Constructive criticism and analysis is paramount for player development but so is praise and encouragement 

Many coaches ( and parents ) try to coach young kids to be robotic in nature and give them unhelpful instructions during games such as 

" Just get rid of it " 
" Ah Don't try that there " 
" Don't dribble or try any skill moves "
" Play 2-3 touch max "

Thus stifling any creativity or any form of expression from the player 👎🏼

Where do you think they will learn decision making if you're the ones making the decision for them ⁉️🤔

Bravery in football is often seen as going in for strong challenges and headers etc , but it's also being brave to want to get on the ball and make things happen in difficult moments in game so if that's taken away from a player from a young age they won't develop into the player they should be

That's where just letting the kids play , praise and encourage them and constructively articulating what they can do better will always triumph when coaching young kids ⚽️👥
