The first time I stepped on the field with my dad, I cried because I was really nervous and didn’t think I could do it. Well if you know my dad, you know how that conversation went. That was the first of our many on-field conversations. The past 14 seasons have been the best 14 years of my life. From the relationships I built, to all the memories I have made, to the bus rides with the guys I call best friends have meant the absolute world to me. My whole goal was to leave the program better than we found it. I think we definitely did that. It has been an honor to represent the Anna community on and off the baseball field. To the seniors, thank you for staying the course, making this program better, and will definitely miss the fungo golf before practice. I can’t wait to watch this program continue to grow for the years to come. Coach Dad, thank you for the countless batting practice, and hours spent on the diamond with my teammates and I. I can’t thank you enough for molding us into better men. To the fans, thank you for always showing up for us, and being the best fans in the state. To my family, I thank y’all for the love and support y’all gave me every step of the way through this 14 year journey. I love you guys more than you’ll ever know. I can’t thank God enough for the past four years of my life. Coyote Nation, it’s been a pleasure to wear the purple and white. Love, #5. Fiver, out. #AAIT
