Frog & Toad’s Christmas Rolls 🐸

Toad’s Famous Christmas Rolls
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cup milk, lukewarm
2 eggs
4 cups bread flour + 1 cup for kneading
2 1/4 tsp quick rise yeast 
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp cloves
⅛ tsp nutmeg
Melted butter, for brushing 
Coarse sugar

Filling
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup salted butter, softened
1 tbsp cinnamon 
1 tbsp vanilla extract

Glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
2-3 tsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract 

1.Place the melted butter, milk, and eggs into the bowl of your stand mixer. Mix until combined using the paddle attachment. 
2. Add the 4 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and spices to the bowl. Mix until a ball of dough has formed. 
3. Transfer to a floured surface and knead using the remaining flour until no longer sticky. Place into a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise until doubled in size.
4. In a small bowl, combine the filling ingredients. Punch down the dough and transfer to a floured surface. Roll into a rectangle and spread on the cinnamon filling. Roll up into a log and slice into smaller rolls. Place the rolls onto a baking pan and brush with melted butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for about 20 minutes.
5. In a small bowl, combine the glaze ingredients. Drizzle over the warm rolls, then add some coarse sugar on top of each one.
