Poinsettias are America's number 1 selling potted plant, with over 70 million being sold during the six-week holiday period towards the end of the year. Poinsettias were first introduced into the United States in 1825, and now grow nationwide. They are traditionally a deep red color but can be pink, white, purple, yellow or even multicolored.
