So many cherished moments from Day 1 of the moorealoha Japan/Hawaii exchange 2023 kupuhawaii … Girls from our mentorship programs spent time with the kids from Japan sharing our cultural practices of lei making, hula, surfing and the spirit of Aloha. Even the Makinohara Mayor Sugimoto danced with us too! 

I was completely overwhelmed by the generous donation from Steve and Candice Sombrero authors of whatdayareyouofficial 🥹🙏🏼 Appreciate the time, effort, gifts and monetary support from so many people and sponsors to make this exchange happen. Special shoutout to cpb_hawaii and waikikibeachcomber who showed up in a big way for this initiative. 

A trip to Hawaii isn’t complete without a dinner dukeswaikiki and their famous Hula Pie. What a special treat to wrap the day!
