On playing in New Orleans in the Superdome: “It’s just unreal. It’s a blessing to be able to come back. Seeing my teammates experience this, for most of them it’s their first time to a city like this. It’s great to see everybody’s reaction and to be back home. I’ve been a couple of times (to the Sugar Bowl) as a kid, and the atmosphere is unreal. So thinking about playing in it is a blessing. It’s the Superdome, it’s the center of the city and the heart of the city.”

On how excited he is to be here: “There’s been ups and downs throughout the years, but first, everyone on the team and I are blessed for the opportunity to be here and to be able to play another game for the fans and the University. God’s blessed us with this opportunity to go out there and have fun against a competitive team. It’s going to be a great experience.”

On the teams mindset and drive: “We understand what we really want to go and achieve, which is a National Championship, and now that we have gotten a chance to compete for one I think nobody wants it more than the guys on this team.“
