The Athlete Spotlight of the Week, sponsored by Tatnall Black & Gold, is Ava Simpers. Ava has shown what it means to be a great teammate this season. She is one of two swing players and is always in great spirits every time she steps on the field. She has been encouraging her teammates immensely while working on her own skills to be the best athlete she can be. Ava was able to step up for the team against Friends in a clutch situation. Playing a new position, she made an outstanding defensive save while keeping calm and collected under pressure. Ava is always willing to help the team out, whether it be cheering her teammates on during a hard drill in practice or choosing to help someone out who might not understand something. #athletehighlight #blackandgold
