At Bow Seat, we are serious end-of-year fans, not only because of the warming lights, the meals, and the mufflements but also because it’s a GREAT TIME to finish the year with some SERIOUS IMPACT!

As we gear up for an exciting 2024 with over 10,000 amazing followers (many of you are new!), let us reintroduce ourselves 🤗 Bow Seat is a multi-award-winning Massachusetts-based nonprofit on a mission to engage young minds in environmental conservation and advocacy through the creative arts. We’re all about fusing ocean science and arts education, encouraging creative thinking, and exploring the wonders of our natural world.

Our flagship initiative, the annual Ocean Awareness Contest, has been a beacon of change, involving countless young talents from around the globe. We firmly believe in empowering the next generation of ocean stewards and inspiring them to dream of a brighter future. Founded by Linda Cabot in 2011, Bow Seat has already touched the lives of nearly 35,000 young individuals from all 50 states and over 138 countries! 🙏

So, what have we achieved together in 2023? 📊 Let’s take a moment to celebrate:

🎨 4.2K young people engaged with environmental art
💰 $80K of scholarships awarded to young artists 
📚 10 Fellowship Grantees supported and mentored
🌊 60M people engaged with ocean-based content digitally (yes, that’s huge!)
