For the girl thinking about going through recruitment, here is Sarah Elisabeth Ellison’s story.

Walking into recruitment week, I decided I would have a completely open mind, truly seeking to find my place in Greek life. Yet every round, as I walked into each wonderful sorority, nothing ever felt as at home quite like the house with the pink door. I knew from Philanthropy round that Phi Mu Alpha Gamma was where I belonged. Every day since then has abundantly confirmed that!

I was hesitant about going through recruitment because it felt out of my comfort zone, but I have been blessed beyond measure because of it. Phi mu has truly become my faithful home away from home, full of women who love and care for me like real sisters. Women who wipe my tears and make me laugh till I’m crying tears of joy. Women who sit with me in the lib, preventing me from going crazy finals week. Women who walk with me in the valleys and stand by my side at the top of my mountains. Phi mu, to me, is defined by the inexplicably amazing women who make it home.

In the short time I’ve been able to be a part of this sisterhood, it has changed me beyond measure, and I know it will continue to do so. Phi Mu Alpha Gamma has given me love, encouragement, memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime. It’s an honor and a privilege to call the house with the pink door home.
