Another crazy night at Fenway! You just never know what you’ll see at the park. In a whacky moment, Isbel hit a ball over Yoshida’s head, shattering an out light on the monster. Thankfully this was ruled a ground rule double, preventing the run from scoring. Def never seen that before!

In the 2nd, Casas hit a 431 ft nuke on a first pitch fastball for his 18th HR of the season. 

Later, in the 4th, after a Masa ball down the right field line got lost in the sky, resulting in a gift double, Verdugo had a clutch opposite field double, scoring 2. Nice to see the ball bounce the Sox way and for them to capitalize on the misplay. 

After only a couple of days off, Pivetta started, and pitched well, going 5IP, 2 ER, w 8Ks, earning the win. The bullpen continued to dominate, tossing 4IP, only giving up 1 run, a solo shot in the 9th. Jansen closed out the 9th for his 25th save. 

For the Royals, MJ Melendez continued to terrorize the Sox with 2 more HRs, making it 3 thus far in the series. His first bomb sailed 445ft over the Royals pen and deep into the bleachers, close to where Casa’s blast later landed. MJ’s second shot was another oppo shot onto the shelf of the monster. 

Fenway was a very colorful and rocking place as the Sox gave out the-dyed jersey and played a bunch of Dead jams on the anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s passing. The Sox kept the vibes going wearing the yellow jerseys again, where they are now 8-1 on the season. 

I wasn’t able to score one of the tie dyed jerseys, so if anyone has an extra they’re willing to part with, I’d LOVE to work out some sort of trade! HMU 

The Sox also had another giveaway, a Kiké Hernandez WBC Puerto Rico bobblehead, a couple of weeks after he was dealt to LA. In a nice touch, they added a heartfelt message from Kiké on a sticker attached the collectible. 🫡

Sox look to win the series in the final game of the series against the Royals tonight with Paxton on the bump.
