As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re shining the spotlight on AAPI members of #TeamUSA and their amazing achievements, like 2020 Olympic all-around champion Sunisa Lee!

Suni’s electrifying performance at the delayed Tokyo Olympic Games in the summer of 2021 earned her the distinction of becoming the first Hmong woman to win Olympic 🥇 in gymnastics. She left Tokyo with the full spectrum of hardware, collecting team 🥈 and UB 🥉 along the way. Suni also has a perfect set of gold, silver, and bronze medals from her World Championships debut in 2019. As a first-year senior, Suni scored team gold while picking up individual silver and bronze on FX and UB, respectively. 

Most recently, Suni was the NCAA all-around runner up as a freshman at Auburn. The 2021 Sports Illustrated Female Athlete of the Year also claimed the NCAA title on balance beam last month at her first collegiate national championships. Swipe 👈 to see Suni swing bars like only she can!
