Ever wondered just how impactful positive and negative words can be❓
With our crumpled paper activity, students can understand + evaluate the impact words can have on others by only using three small pieces of paper 📝. 

📌 Here's how to do it: 
- Take one piece of paper and have students write down all the negative things someone has said to them.✏️
- Flip the paper over and have everyone turn it in.
- 🗣 Read out the negative words one at a time and have students take their second piece of paper and crumple it if the word has ever been used to hurt them. 
- Take the third piece of paper and have students write down all the positive things someone has said to them.✏️
- Flip the paper over and have everyone turn it in. 
- 🗣 Read out the positive words one at a time and have students take their second piece of crumpled paper and uncrumple it every time a word has been used to make them feel good. 

➡️ Reflect on the outcome. Did more students have negative things said about them than positive or vice versa? What common words are used to bring people down or lift them up? How can understanding the weight words carry teach us to be responsible digital citizens?
