Most young people don’t know what’s in the e-liquids used in vapes. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 99% of the vapes sold in the United States contain nicotine. Other toxic chemicals and metals have been found in vapes, as well. They include diethylene glycol, a toxic chemical used in antifreeze linked to lung disease, and heavy metals such as nickel, tin and lead.

Then join us on Wednesday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m. for a “Community Conversation about Vaping.” The event will be held at the District Administrative Office at 1260 NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. All parents/guardians and students are welcome to attend. The event also will be livestreamed on the district’s YouTube channel.
