## Caption

Dr. #MayaAngelou inspired generations of Wake Forest students to become better writers, thinkers and citizens. Angelou was our first Reynolds Professor of American Studies in 1982 and taught here until her death in 2014. She recently became the first African American woman whose image would grace the U.S. quarter. #HerQuarter #BlackHistoryMonth
