Meet the powerhouse behind our fitness gains. Coach Kelly brings a daily dose of lifting dumbbells and spirits. Here is an inside look into our process ⤵️

While softball is a sport dominated by speed and power, you can’t completely ignore the accumulation of fatigue the athlete faces in the late innings of a single game, the second half of a double header, or the latter games of a weekend series.  Developing a solid base of endurance will allow the athlete to display high levels of speed and power while delaying fatigue in these late game situations.  Dedicating one to two days of conditioning in the off-season and pre-season is plenty to develop softball-specific endurance without negatively interfering with softball skills or speed/power development.

A base level of strength is a pre-requisite to proper power development.  A bigger strength base, in theory, will lead to higher levels of power output in softball players.  We dedicate the entire summer and early fall off-season to building a large strength reservoir and then focus on converting that newly developed strength into softball-specific power during pre-season and maintain that power throughout the spring season.
