## Caption

First-year building construction (BC) student and recipient of the School's Advisory Board Scholarship, Zuri Njenga, had initially planned to attend an HBCU. After meeting her soon-to-be Professor and Chair Ece Erdogmus during a departmental tour, her mind was changed. Professor Erdogmus emphasized how bcatgatech has the highest percentage of female led faculty. Zuri also noticed all the international name plates as she walked the corridors of the offices and felt right at home. Her decision was further sealed after Gold Carpet Day and the OMED gala. 

Philanthropy makes possible scholarships that help attract and propel students like Zuri. Now, Zuri looks forward to the next few years to learn and discover at Georgia Tech.  #TransformingTomorrow
