❌ There is no prerequisite subject selection. However, any subjects that develop communication skills, languages and fitness are very useful.⁣
⁣
We expect younger applicants to have some life experience under their belts. Here are a few suggestions as to how: ⁣
🛒 Work experience in a customer service environment, like working at Maccas. You'll be exposed to different people and develop communication, teamwork and conflict resolution skills – experiences police officers encounter every day. ⁣
💖 Volunteer experience, like helping out at your local surf lifesaving club or community centre. This develops community mindedness and communication skills.⁣
⛹️‍♀️ Sporting club experience of your choosing. This develops teamwork, communication and leadership skills and a healthy level of fitness.⁣
🌏 Overseas travel - take a gap year! This shows exposure to other cultures, religions, languages and fosters independence and assertiveness.⁣
