Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19th, 1809. He likely never imagined how the city of Baltimore would embrace his poem "The Raven".⁠

Back in 1996, the new football team in Baltimore needed a name, and after a 24-hour telephone poll, fans decided our new team would be called the "Ravens".⁠
