That’s why we made it a priority to not only support today’s Olympians and Paralympians, but the athletes of tomorrow, too, with $160M commitment to youth sports through PlayLA. 

PlayLA is lacityparks youth program made possible by our investments and provides youth of all abilities access to quality sports while eliminating economic barriers. PlayLA is the single largest commitment to youth sports development in California and serves as a legacy before, during and after the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Check out some of our commitments to LA youth below:

🤝 $160M financial commitment.
📋 175,000: Participants registered during the ’22-’23 school year, including 1,000 kids with a disability.
🏟️ 150: Park & Rec centers offering PlayLA programming.
🏀 3,140: Sports clinics conducted, including 18 new programs with more than 30 available sports.
📈 500,000: Number of kids supported since 2018, with a projection to impact up to 1M kids by 2028.
