Communication Department Alumni Spotlight: Jasmine McKoy’s Journey in Sports Broadcasting 🎤🎓

Meet Jasmine McKoy, a proud NC State Communication alumna who’s taken the broadcasting industry by storm. With a childhood love for sports and passion for communication, she has since become a Sports Anchor for an NBC Affiliate, reported for the NBA and contributed to ESPN+’s Countdown to Kickoff.

For aspiring reporters, she says, “My advice is to be very ambitious. When there’s not an opportunity, create one. That’s what I did, and it helped me stand out and get the recognition I needed to be where I want to be. I love what I do, I’m having fun doing it and the journey is still continuing!”
