Crews rescued a driver who had been trapped atop an overturned, semi-submerged vehicle overnight in the San Francisco Bay area on Tuesday morning, Jan. 23, 2024. “It was further reported that the occupant was sitting on top of the vehicle in the middle of a flowing creek,” the CHP said.

The motorist had attempted to drive across the creek around 7:30 pm on Monday, but was swept up by the rushing waters, Alameda County officials said.
