The University of New Hampshire has been chosen as one of 40 U.S. colleges and universities to receive the 2024 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification in recognition of its "institutional commitment to community engagement." This recognition highlights the university's commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships with our local and global communities. One such partnership is our Embrace NH strategic pillar. This program allows UNH to help create opportunities across the Granite State in K-12 education, workforce development, healthcare, and environment & energy programs. The Embrace NH initiative has:

🏫Placed UNH leaders, faculty, staff, and students into K-12 schools to share resources and bring innovative research into the classrooms across the state.
🎓Provided hands-on education, research opportunities, and internships that prepare UNH Students for great jobs across NH in every industry.
🤝Allowed UNH to work one-on-one with over 5,000 NH businesses each year, ensuring that they can thrive, grow, and create more opportunities.
⚕️Brought together a unique mix of faculty researchers, cutting-edge research facilities, public policy experts, public health officials, and frontline workers to create a more affordable, effective healthcare system that serves everyone in the Granite State.
