Our annual NASA Day of Remembrance falls on Jan. 25 this year. Every January, we remember and honor the members of our NASA family that lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery. Among the fallen are the crews of Apollo 1, Challenger STS-51L, and Columbia STS-107.⁣
⁣
Going forth into the unknown comes with inherent risks, which is why safety must be our top priority as we push the boundaries of space exploration. As we plan to return to the Moon, venture on toward Mars, and go beyond, we vow to uphold top safety standards and never repeat our past mistakes.⁣
