Today is our Day of Remembrance.⁣
 ⁣
Our annual Day of Remembrance is an opportunity to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by members of the NASA family, including the crews of Apollo 1 and space shuttles Challenger and Columbia.⁣
 ⁣
This sunrise was captured from the crew cabin of Columbia on the STS-107 mission. Launched January 16, 2003, STS-107 was strictly a multidiscipline microgravity and Earth science research mission involving 80-plus international experiments performed during 16 days, many of which were managed by NASAMarshall. While en route to landing at NASAKennedy on Feb. 1, Columbia and crew were lost during reentry over east Texas 16 minutes prior to the scheduled touchdown.⁣
 ⁣
As we push forward with #Artemis missions to the Moon and continue missions to the ISS, #NASARemembers those who paved the way.⁣
