Helllooo fellow adventure seekers 👋. We’re Evan, Ange + Maxx!

We want to share a ‘get to know us’ — it’s been too long!

In brief: 🐿️ ♥️ 🚙 ✈️ 🌮 🥾 🚲 🛵💨

Or long winded:

We’re 38, 40…ish, and 2 🐶. 

Ange is ‘the Squirrel’, a nickname Evan gave after watching her: get overly excited, get confused, scamper, and yes, save all the nuts (💰) for travel!

♥️ Our adventure began 10 years ago over a shared love of… tacos! Yes, we randomly met at a taco shop.

👩🏻‍💻👷🏽‍♂️We’re full-time 9-5ers, making the most of PTO and grateful to call San Diego home! 

🐕 Maxx joined us in 2022 after our fam found him in dire need of a good home. We raced to Utah to pick him up, and he’s been our adventure buddy ever since! 

🏡 When we’re at home (which is most of the time), you’ll find Ange making concoctions in the Insta Pot . She loves to cook recipe free—and Evan loves to eat!

🌱 You might say we’re passionate about being vegetarians. And TBH, it’s not that we didn’t love meat—we just believe it’s better for the environment and it’s a small way we can offset our travel footprint 🌎. 

Fun Fact: Evan suggested we try a veggie lifestyle in 2019 to up his spartan performance. And it did! That year he placed 10th out of 5,000 competitors 👏. So in addition to environmental reasons, we just feel healthier, younger, and it’s saved a ton 💸.

We think life’s bests moments are spent outdoors ✌️. And on squirrelmusttravel you’ll find breathtaking landscapes, outdoor fun, and travel hacks we discover along the way. 

NOTE: these are our opinions, and based on experience—not scientific research 😂. As we’ve grown we’ve come across those fun online bullies—who has time for that?? 

We’d love to inspire you to spend quality time outdoors. Take that spontaneous trip, and use that hard earned PTO!!
