At the Rockland County indoor track and field championships held Jan. 26, North Rockland junior Samantha Bender destroyed her previous personal-best mark by more than 19 seconds in the 1,500-meter racewalk, clocking 8:01.46. Pearl River’s Emily Dwyer (season-best 8:04.27) was second and North Rockland’s Goldy Baum (SB 8:15.93) third.
