Last night, we officially got to launch Initiative 62 with the boys over at nwa.lax

What is Initiative 62?
Born 6-2-62, my father was an avid athlete most of his life. He coached travel hockey in Iowa, tee ball in Bakersfield, and played for the Wheaton College hockey team way back in the 80’s.

Never far from his mind, he routinely looked for ways to stay involved in the sports world. He donated to numerous teams, helped facilitate athletic infrastructure for several schools, and always made sure to keep his season tickets to the Florida Panthers on auto renewal.

Initiative 62 is our attempt to continue my father’s legacy of generosity, and give tangible support to players around Montana. We love the sport of lacrosse, and we love helping grow the community, and the sport here in Montana. This year, we were able to donate 25 Cascade XRS Pros to the Avalanche Division 1 team.

Next year, we hope to help another program from the area.

You may have seen our hashtag hupomeno. It means: to remain under but not simply with resignation, but with a vibrant hope. We are all under the same umbrella, facing the same challenges. But we have a vibrant hope here at 406. Lacrosse in the state of Montana is growing. Hope for the future of lacrosse here is vibrant.

We want to help push all athletes from Montana to set their goals high, and work to achieve them.
