"I'll never forget her compassion," a grateful patient says of Danita Purnell. As an Environmental Services Worker at Penn Presbyterian, Danita routinely goes the extra mile for patients and colleagues. In this particular instance, a patient was distraught about the tea they mistakenly received--black instead of green. Danita quickly corrected the error, recognizing that the patient's reaction was about more than just the tea. 
 
“I try to do things with a cheerful heart,” Danita says. “I don’t go in just to clean the room, but I go in to brighten someone’s day, to see whatever little difference I could make—to make whatever they’re going through a bit easier." #PeopleofPenn #DifferenceMakers
